XBT (Xeno Biotechnologies) is a privately owned company, founded a few years after the first discovery of a complex alien organism in 2012 on the Kerguelen Islands. The company managed to successfully sequence the complete genome of the alien organism in 2019, and in 2021, the scientists of the company spliced alien genes into humans and animals. XBT claims that it aims to improve human welfare, but leaked documents suggest that it creates hybrids, which are called products, and makes a profit by selling them for millions as biological weapons. One such document states that "Product 02" escaped and killed hundreds of people.
